Kendrapada: A pall of gloom descended on Badaanko village of Balakati panchayats under Aul police limits after the news of Narendra Swain’s death reached his village. He had reportedly died of COVID-19 in New Delhi.
According to sources, the 43-year-old was residing at Morna Sector-35 in Noida and working in a company there. Following the nationwide lockdown, he was unable to return home.
A few days back, he complained of fever and was admitted to a Delhi-based hospital. His swab samples later tested positive for the deadly virus.
Swain died while undergoing treatment and was cremated at Punjabi Bagh CNG Crematorium, the sources added.
