Bhubaneswar: Odisha Coal and Power Ltd (OCPL) on Thursday donated Rs 10 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Energy Secretary Nikunja Dhal presented the cheque of Rs 10 crore to chief secretary Suresh Mohapatra as a contribution from OCPL to CMRF through video-conference at a programme organised at Lokseva Bhawan, here.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Energy Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra and other officers of Energy department and OCPL were present.
The OCPL, which made the contribution from its profit, achieved more than coal production target set by the government in the financial year. The only state-run company in coal sector is also engaged in empowerment of women and youths in Sundargarh as part of its social responsibility.
