Jharsuguda: Police have registered a case against an OAS officer for allegedly beating up his wife in Jharsuguda.
According to a complaint lodged by the wife at the BTM Police Outpost in Jharsuguda, she was beaten up by her husband Sarat Bag, who is the deputy collector of Boudh, in presence of his relative.
On the basis of the complaint, police have registered a case under section 323, 294, 506, 379 and 34 of the IPC.
However, there is no clarification by the deputy collector on this matter till reports last came in.
