Odisha PACS Officer Possessing Assets Over Rs 1.65 Cr Arrested By Vigilance

Balangir: The Secretary, Charbhata and Dubula Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society was arrested by Vigilance sleuths for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The PACS secretary, posted at Tarabha in Sonepur district, Masut Mohammad was found in possession of assets over Rs 1.65 crore.

During the raid, Vigilance found Mohammad to be in possession of a three-storey building at Salepali in Balangir, 3 plots in Sonepur, 4 plots in Balangir, bank deposits worth over Rs 20 lakh, LIC depoists worth over Rs 12 lakh besides other movable and immovable property.

Mohammad was forwarded to court of Special Judge, Balangir who remanded him to judicial custody till July 30.
