Balasore: Darshan at Panchalingeshwar Temple at Nilagiri in Odisha’s Balasore district has been suspended due to incessant rainfall and strong currents of a waterfall nearby, said sources.
As water flow was very strong near the mandap area where earthen lamps are lit, officials ordered to restrict access. “Devotees have been barred from touching the Lingam because of the powerful flow of water,” an official said.
Unless the flow of water stablizes and it becomes safer, devotees will not be allowed inside, keeping their safety in mind, the official of Panchligeswar Temple management further said.
Devotees coming from far-off places were disappointed over the development and prayed for early resumption of darshan at Panchalingeshwar temple.
