Angul: In the recently concluded panchayat polls in Odisha, 310 people cast their votes at Ward No. 2 in Pallahara block under Nijigad panchayat of Angul district.
But when counting officials opened the ballot box, sealed and kept in the strong room, on Sunday, they were surprised to find 322 ballot papers inside the box for the post of Zilla Parishad.
The number of ballot papers, however, tallied for other posts, Sarpanch, Samiti member, and Ward member.
