Bhubaneswar: A 45 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 12 pm on Tuesday in the fourth phase of the panchayat elections in Odisha, the State Election Commission (SEC) informed.
Polling began at 7 am and will continue till 1 pm.
Odisha Police has taken all measures to make the fourth phase incident-free. A total of 257 platoons along with 1,473 mobile patrolling units have been deployed.
Voting is being held at 17,089 booths in 64 blocks of 27 districts where 51,31,727 voters will exercise their franchise.
