Bhubaneswar: Repolling is likely to be held in as many as 25 booths where voting took place on Wednesday in the first phase of the three-tier panchayat elections in Odisha, Rabindra Nath Sahu, Secretary, State Election Commission (SEC), informed on Thursday.
He said that the SEC will examine the proposals from various district administrations and take a decision.
Collectors of four districts have proposed repolling at 25 booths where violence marred the polls during the first phase.
The Jajpur Collector has sent proposals for repolling at 11 booths, the maximum, followed by five booths each in Puri and Bhadrak.
