Bhubaneswar: Para-athelete Suchitra Parida brought laurels to Odisha by winning gold in Javeline throw at World Ability-Sport Games being held at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
A native of Puri’s Bhuan village, she struck gold in the f-54 category on Tuesday.
According to sources, Suchitra has been continuously practising for the last 8 month aided by Better Life Foundation, Bhubaneshwar. She is now aiming to compete at Khelo India Games in New Delhi from December 9-17.
Fifteen para athletes from Odisha participated in this game and won one gold and a bronze medal.
