Odisha Para Shuttler Pramod Bhagat Bags Silver In 4 Nations International Tournament In Dublin

Bhubaneswar: Para shuttler from Odisha, Pramod Bhagat bagged silver medal in the 4 Nations Para-Badminton International Tournament in Dublin on Sunday.

Pramod lost to England’s Daniel Bethell in the final match of SL-3 category of the tournament in straight sets. The world no. 1 para shuttler finished runner-up with a silver medal after losing the match 21-17 and 21-09 in Daniel’s favour.

“I am disappointed with my show in the all-important final. I tried everything possible but couldn’t execute those. Daniel played very well. This loss will motivate me to perform better in the upcoming tournaments,” a local TV channel quoted Pramod as saying on his performance.

Another para shuttler from Odisha Deep Ranjan Bisoi bagged bronze medal after losing the semifinal match to Lukas Majur of France in the SL-4 category with score reading 11-21, 7-21 in the tournament.
