Bhubaneswar: In a bid to boost the tourism prospect in the Odisha, the Tourism Department has participated in the ITB Berlin Convention 2018, one of the world’s leading travel trade show.
The State Tourism Department has set up a 45 square metre stall at the convention venue which was inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister Alphons Kannanthanam.
The theme of the state tourism includes heritage, wildlife and eco-tourism and ethnic tourism. A special focus is also being given on Buddhist tourism.
A host of tour operators and State Tourism Director Nitin Jawale are part of the event.
The convention which started on March 7 will continue till March 11.
ITB Berlin is one of world’s leading travel trade show, which had attracted 1,69,000 visitors last year.
