Bhubaneswar: A patient died allegedly after jumping off the fifth floor of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on Saturday. He was identified as Mahendra Swain (39) from Puri district. The incident took place at 11:30 am.
Swain was undergoing treatment at the plastic surgery department. According to media reports, his left foot had been amputated and he was to be discharged soon.
In a similar case, a 50-year-old patient died after allegedly jumping off the district headquarters hospital in Odisha’s Dhenkanal on Thursday morning.
He was identified as Duryodhan Nayak, a resident of Parjang area.
