Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will formulate a new agriculture policy very soon, principal secretary Saurabh Garg said on Tuesday.
“It has been decided that the state government will replace the agriculture policy, 2013 and formulate a new agriculture policy with special focus on the income generation of farmers,” Garg told media persons after a high-level meeting on the proposed policy. Chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi presided over the meeting at the State Secretariat here.
Garg further said that his department has sought suggestions from the departments concerned for formulating the new policy. After receiving the suggestions, a blueprint for the proposed policy will be prepared, he added.
