Odisha Plus II Exam Begins Today Under AI Surveillance



Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) of Odisha began across the state on Wednesday.

More than four lakh students are appearing for the exams at 1,357 centres across the state amid tight security and surveillance. Question paper hubs are being monitored through AI cameras and CCTV systems.

As per the schedule, while Science stream students will take their Odia language exam. Similarly, Arts and Commerce stream students will take their Odia language exam. On February 21, Vocational stream students will have BFC-Political Science and Chemistry exams, while Science stream stu

dents will take Zoology. On February 24, Science stream students will have their English examination.

The exams will continue till March 25, and the timings are fixed from 10 am to 1 pm. The CHSE has set up a control room to monitor the exams via CCTV cameras.

Controller of exams of CHSE Prashant Kumar Parida said action will be taken wherever irregularities are detected.

CHSE vice president Amulya Kumar Pradhan said nodal centres and strong rooms storing question papers remain under continuous surveillance. Immediate action will be taken if any irregularities are detected.

According to School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examinations.

As part of measures to curb cheating, 120 central squads have been deployed across the state, and they have already reached their assigned districts.

According to CHSE, there are 1,357 exam centres and seven sub-centres across the state. To prevent malpractice, 75 zonal squads have been deployed.
