Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said on Friday that preparations are on to set up All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ second campus in the state in Sambalpur.
Odisha is poised to become a hub in the health sector within the next five years, he said and thanked Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for announcing the key project.
“Today a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister in which all the ministers and MLAs were also present. A roadmap was made for the membership campaign going on across the country. Our government is also going to celebrate Seva Saptah,” Mahaling was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
On September 8, the Odisha CM had announced that the state’s second AIIMS will be built in Sambalpur.
