New Delhi: Odisha is uniquely poised to become a global economic hotspot by leveraging its rich mineral resources, demographic dividend and market, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday.
The minister said this while addressing a webinar on “CA: The Catalyst—learning, unlearning and relearning” at VSM series organised by Rourkela, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda branch of ICAI.
Pradhan further said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given priority to the development of eastern India under ‘Mission Purvodaya’ and Odisha will immensely benefit from this endeavour.
“Odisha provides major share of coal, iron ore and other commodities to the nation. We must work to integrate even more with the global supply chain,” he added.
