Bhubaneswar: Nayapalli police in Bhubaneswar have arrested two persons on charges of duping people with passport services.
According to reports, one Santosh Kumar Swain (34) of Nayapalli and Tikuna Subudhi (28) of Dumduma looted money from two passport applicants during this month, in lieu of facilitating their applications.
The duo used to manage their operations by standing outside the passport office here at Nayapalli, and spotting gullible applicants.
“People who were not aware of the technicalities and procedures, fell into their trap. The duo has been arrested and if necessary we will seek their remand to unearth a bigger racket,” the police said.
