Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police was awarded by National Commission for Women (NCW) for its contribution towards effective and exemplary management of COVID-19.
Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar presented the award at a function organised by the Commission on its 29th Annual Foundation Day at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on Sunday.
Bargarh SP Padmini Sahoo received the award on behalf of Odisha Police at the function. The award carried a shield and a citation.
“We humbly acknowledge the recognition which will inspire all members of Odisha Police towards selfless service,” said Odisha Police in a release.
