Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police launched a state-wide drive against black marketing of COVID medicines and equipment on Monday.
Additional Director General (Crime Branch), Yashwant Jethwa informed the media that seven flying squads will carry out the drive in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Similarly, 15 squads are formed for the rest of the state.
Besides Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, special focus will be on places such as Berhampur, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Balasore and Bargarh, the ADG said.
Jethwa stated that medicine outlets will be monitored round the clock. Stern action will be taken against those found hoarding COVID medicines and equipment, he added.
