Balangir: Police detained a Maoist cadre and his associate in Balangir district on Monday.
The Maoist was identified as Sujan, a member of the Kandhamal-Kalahandi-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) Division of the Maoist. Police, however, refused to divulge more details.
Sources said the duo was caught near Gudvela while going from Kandhamal to Khaprakhol in Balangir district.
Balangir and Kandhamal police are jointly interrogating the two detainees, the sources said.
