Bhubaneswar: To curb extortion by criminals, Odisha Police on Tuesday issued a helpline number for the denizens of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to the media, Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay said the residents of the twin cities can either call the helpline number 9938910000 or send an SMS to inform police of any incident of extortion in their area.
The DGP said the informant’s name will be kept secret if he/she so wishes.
