Bhubaneswear: Odisha Police is least infected by coronavirus compared to other states in the country, according to Indian Police Foundation.
According to the Foundation, while most of the states have COVID-19 cases in double digit, Odisha has only one case in its police department. The affected person, a constable in Commissionerate Police, has recovered from the disease, said a TOI report.
So far, 31 police personnel have been sent to quarantine centres after they were assigned duty at containment zones and coming in contact with corona positive cases, said the data of the independent think tank on policing and law enforcement in the country.
It further stated that total 5,791 police personnel have tested positive in the country with Maharashtra having the highest number of 2,509 cases and 27 deaths.
