Bhadrak: While mystery continues to shroud the death of four members of a family at Jamdola village under Bheden block in Odisha’s Bargarh district, police on Monday registered a murder case and began an investigation with a scientific team and dog squad.
Bargarh SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas told the media that the mother and the daughter were found dead in a room on the first floor while the bodies of the father-son duo were recovered from the ground floor. “I inspected the building thoroughly and one among them was found in a hanging state. Every possibility, including family feud and financial aspects, in the case, is being investigated. I am personally monitoring the probe,” he said.
The bodies were taken out of the house in presence of four executive magistrates this morning, he added.

The bodies were recovered on Sunday evening after neighbours informed police about the stench coming out of the house, which was closed for the last two days. The family was last seen during Diwali, sources said.
According to the neighbours, the family had no enmity with anyone.
