Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has sought clarification from the Tata Motors Ltd regarding the association of arrested IFS officer Ajay Pathak’s son Akash Pathak with the company.
The Kharavela Nagar police has written to the company’s management to ascertain if Akash’s claim of being their Managing Director is true.
Earlier, the Tata Motors had lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch of Odisha Police. In a letter to Amitendra Nath Sinha, IG, CID CB, Tata Motors Ltd complained that Akash has been claiming himself to be the managing director of Tata Motor, Pune Passenger Division and CEO Designate.
The Tata Motors does not have any person by the name of Akash Kumar Pathak serving in this capacity. He is also using fake employee ID card and visiting card by making illegal use of Tata Motors trademark.
Besides, Akash has been using his fake identity and taking large amount of money from unemployed youths for providing them jobs in the company, the company said.
