Odisha Police To Host 73rd All India Hockey Championship, Preparatory Meeting Held

Bhubaneswar: The 73rd All India Hockey Championship 2025 will be held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from April 7 to 15 under the auspices of Odisha Police.

Ahead of the national event, a preparatory meeting was chaired by Director General of Police Y B Khurania at the state police headquarters in Cuttack to discuss arrangements for the championship.

Twenty-seven men’s and 10 women’s police teams from across the country are expected to participate. International hockey players and dignitaries will also attend. The DGP directed senior officers to make extensive arrangements for the players and guests, including accommodation, practice facilities, and security measures.

Many international hockey players and eminent personalities are likely to participate in the event. In view of this, the DGP stressed on making special arrangements for the players and guests. Apart from this, the DGP directed the senior police officers present in the meeting to organize their accommodation, regular practice, welcoming and felicitating the guests, opening and closing ceremonies in a hassle-free manner.

The players will practice at the Kalinga Stadium, Pokhariput stadium. The DGP has ordered to make special arrangements for the mega event. In view of this, the DGP has also ordered to adopt comprehensive security measures.
