Bhubaneswar: Odisha police was conferred with Award of Excellence for its Cyber Safety Campaign 2023 at Future Crime Summit, New Delhi.
Shefeen Ahmed, IGP, CID, Crime Branch, received the award, recognising its outstanding contribution to the field of cybercrime on behalf of Odisha DGP.
The campaign in Odisha was launched with the primary objective of enhancing awareness and educating the public about the multifaceted aspects of cybercrime and more importantly, how to protect themselves from falling victim. Over 50,000 students and 1 lakh households were educated about cyber safety during the 15-day campaign. Various online and offline like painting, slogan writing, reel/video making, quiz, wall graffiti competitions were also conducted.
