Odisha Polls: Cong Releases List Of Candidates For 3 LS & 16 Assembly Seats

Bhubaneswar: The Congress released the names of its candidates for 3 more Lk Sabha constituencies and 16 Assembly seats in Odisha on Saturday.

KC Venugopal, general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC), in a press release announced the names of party candidates.

The Congress has nominated Dulal Chandra Pradhan for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat, Mohan Hembram for Keonjhar and Debakant Sharma for Aska.

Following is the list of Congress candidates for 16 Assembly seats:

Jharsuguda: Amita Biswal

Badasahi: Kshirod Chandra Patra

Sukinda: Bibhu Bushan Rout

Kantamal: Sarat Kumar Pradhan

Kendrapara: Shipra Mallick

Rajanagar: Ashok Pratihari

Mahakalapada: Loknath Moharathy

Nimapara: Siddharth Routray

Pipili: Gyan Ranjan Patnaik

Jayadev: Krushna Sagaria

Khurda: Sonali Sahoo

Chilika: Pradeep Kumar Swain

Khandapada: Manoj Kumar Pradhan

Daspalla: Nakul Nayak

Kabisuryanagar: Sanjaya Kumar Mandal

Gopalpur: Shayam Sundargarh Sahu

With this, the Congress has announced its candidates for 138 Assembly seats out of the total 147 constituencies in the state.

Earlier in the day, the BJD released its 6th list of 9 candidates for Assembly elections. While BJD has nominated its leaders for 135 seats, the BJP has announced 131 candidates.
