Odisha Premier Badminton League From Jan 19

Cuttack: Good news for badminton lovers. For the first time, the Odisha Premier Badminton League is scheduled to take place from January 19 to 21, 2018. The three-day event will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium here and is affiliated to the Odisha State Badminton Association.

“The auction will be held on December 16, after which the composition of each team will be known. The tournament will have 8 teams, divided into two groups, and shall be played on league basis. Around 200 players and officials will take part in junior, senior and masters categories,” former badminton player and organizing secretary Kamal Das said at a press conference here on Saturday.

“The Cuttack Club is organising the league. It will be a very good platform for shuttlers,” added president of Cuttack Club Manoranjan Mohapatra.
