Bhubaneswar: Preparations are underway for the golden jubilee celebrations of Dhauli Shanti Stupa near Odisha’s capital next month. Over 100 Buddhist monks from across the world will gather for the celebrations.
Reviewing the preparations on Thursday, state Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra set a target to complete preservation and beautification works by the end of this month.
The state government has allocated Rs 1.87 crore for various works, including building a pathway around the stupa.
The main celebration will be held on October 28.
