Nuapada: Vigilance sleuths apprehended Sujan Kumar Sahu, Principal of Badigaon Adarsha Vidyalaya in Khaira block of Nuapada district, on Wednesday while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4000.
According to Vigilance sources, Sahu had demanded the bribe money from the complainant to update his service bòok and sanction annual increment in their favour.
Simultaneous raids are being conducted on Sahu’s residence in Angul district and his office at Badi, Nuapada, the sources added.
A case has been registered against him under Section 7 PC of Amendment Act, 2018. and doing searches at Anugul residential house and office of Sahu.
