Bhubaneswar: The evaluation of the annual matric exam papers will begin after May 3 after the countrywide lockdown is lifted, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said on Tuesday.
“We had earlier decided to resume the evaluation after April 14. But taking the rising number of COVID patients, the lockdown period has been extended to May 3. After the lockdown period is over, we will announce the date for evaluation,” Dash said.
Referring to the distribution of textbooks for Classes I to VIII, the minister said that the books have reached the schools and the teachers will deliver them to the homes of the students by April 25.
