Bhubaneswar: Odisha has a recovery rate of 56 per cent and it ranks third among the states in India with more than 500 positive cases.
Andhra Pradesh has the highest recovery rate of 67 per cent, followed by Rajasthan at 59 per cent.
“It is a good sign that more and more COVID-19 patients are recovering without any complications. Since most cases in the state are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms, they are being discharged from hospitals as per the Union Health Ministry’s policy prepared in consultation with Indian Council of Medical Research,” Additional Chief Secretary P K Mohapatra said.
While Odisha’s affected tally has crossed 1900-mark, a total of 1050 patients have so far been cured of the infection.
