Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said that Odisha had received the highest central assistance during the first 100 days of BJP’s second team at the Centre.
Addressing a press meet at the party office here, he said the Centre has provided record assistance of Rs 16,605 crore to Odisha. “Odisha had received Rs 4678 crore cyclone Fani assistance in three phases. Besides, it was the highest recipient of the CAMPA (Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority) assistance of Rs 5933.89 crore,” he added.
The Union Minister further said that two BJP leaders from the state have been allotted two portfolios each in the central government while Biswabhusan Harichadan has been appointed as the governor of Andhra Pradesh.
On the occasion, Mandaviya requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state and construction of more cyclone shelters in the vulnerable areas.
