Odisha Receives Another 2.71 Lakh Doses Of Covishield Vaccines

Bhubaneswar: Two days after receiving 2.5 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine, the Odisha government on Monday received another consignment of 2.71 doses of vaccines.

A special cargo flight carrying the vaccines arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the afternoon.

Talking to mediapersons, Director, Health and Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi said that the vaccines will be sent to the district vaccination centres today.

Due to the shortage of vaccines 700 session sites have been closed today while the vaccination is underway at 755 session sites, he said.

However, with the arrival of the vaccines today, most of the session sites in the state will be opened tomorrow for vaccination.
