Bhubaneswar: Barely 24 hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement for an advance Rs 500 crore post-cyclone assistance, the Odisha government on Saturday received the sum from the Centre.
This was informed by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena to the media here.
Thanking the Prime Minister and Home Ministry for proving the financial assistance, Jena said that this will help the state government expedite its post-cyclone restoration work.
Notably, the Prime Minister, after an aerial tour to the affected districts on Friday, had announced Rs 500 crore to Odisha to expedite its post-cyclone restoration works
