Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered a growth rate of 24.98% with a collection of Rs 2035.18 crore under State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) during July 2024 against Rs 1628.43 core during the corresponding period last year, a government release said on Friday.
It further stated that progressive collection under State GST till July 2024 stood at Rs 8866.95 crore against corresponding collection of Rs 7055.53 crore till July 2023 with a growth rate of 25.67%.
“Odisha has also recorded collection of Gross GST (CGST+ IGST+ OGST + Cess) of Rs 4925.02 crore during July 2024 against Rs 4245.40 crore during the corresponding period last year, registering a growth rate of 16.01%. The progressive collection under Gross GST up to July 2024 stands at Rs 20841.33 Cr against a collection of Rs 18058.84 crore up to July 2023 with a growth rate of 15.41%,” it said.
There was 18.15% increase in the collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/ IGST Settlement / VAT and Profession Tax, with Rs 3209.66 crore in July 2024 against Rs 2716.52 crore during the corresponding period last year.
The progressive growth rate up to July 2024 under all Acts stood at 19.60%.
It added that 21.02 lakh of waybills were generated in July 2024 compared to 20.13 lakh in July 2023, recording a growth of 4.44% while reflecting the buoyancy in the state economy.
