Bhubaneswar: Odisha has registered a growth of 32% in collection of gross Goods and Service Tax (GST) in June, 2022 compared to the same month last year.
According to a Finance Ministry press release, gross GST collection in the state was Rs 3965 crore crore in June 2022. With Rs 965 crore collection over Rs 3,000 crore in corresponding month in 2021, the state has registered an increase of 32%.
The gross GST revenue collected in the country was Rs 144,616 crore in June 2022 compared to Rs 92,800 crore collection in the same month last year, registering a growth of 56%.
It is for the 5th time that GST collection has surpassed Rs 1.40 lakh crore since its inception and for the 4th time at a stretch since March 2022.
Out of total GST collected during June, CGST accounted for Rs 25,306 crore, SGST Rs 32,406 crore, the IGST Rs 75887 crore (including Rs 40102 crore collected on import of goods) and cess Rs 11,018 crore (including Rs 1197 crore collected on import of goods).
