Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha crossed 2,000-mark and touched 2,007 on Tuesday with 10 more patients succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.
Khurda reported the highest of four deaths, followed by Sundargarh (3), Rayagada (2), and Boudh (1).
The deceased have been identified as:
1.A 37 years old man of Bhubaneswar.
2.A 60 years old man of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypothyroid.
3.A 40 years old woman of Boudh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
4.A 70 years old man of Khurda district.
5.A 72 years old man of Khurda district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
6.A 71 years old man of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
7.A 40 years old man of Rayagada district.
8.A 76 years old man of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Hypothyroid.
9.A 43 years old woman of Sundargarh district.
10.A 60 years old man of Sundargarh district.
Meanwhile, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the state has crossed 50,000-mark with 6073 new infections being reported in the last 24 hours.
