Bhubaneswar: A day after reporting above 200 new COVID cases, Odisha on Thursday saw 173 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had registered 218 COVID positive cases on Wednesday, 175 cases on Tuesday, 178 cases on Monday, 160 on Sunday, 173 on Saturday and 286 on Friday.
According to the I & PR department, 98 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 75 local contacts. Among them, 26 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 84 cases, followed by Sundargarh (15) and Cuttack (12). Eleven districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 64,989 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.26%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,52,318, Odisha now has 1,989 active cases.
