Bhubaneswar: After six days, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 200 with 191 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state saw 264 new cases on Saturday, 219 on Friday, 335 on Thursday and 288 cases on Wednesday.
Among them, 33 are in the age group of 0-18 years, which is 17 per cent of the total cases against 16 per cent on Saturday.
According to the I & PR department, 112 of the new infections are from quarantine and 79 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest 87 cases, followed by 13 each in Sundargarh and Cuttack. Nine districts reported nil cases.

Besides, 21 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 56,199 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.33 per cent. The TPR was 0.47 per cent on Saturday, 0.37 per cent on Friday and 0.53 per cent on Thursday.
While the affected tally has touched 10,48,683, Odisha now has 2,359 active cases.
