Odisha Reports 252 New COVID Case; District-Wise Details Do Not Tally, Same As On Dec 1!

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained above 200 for the third consecutive day on Thursday as 252 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours.

The state had reported 237 new cases on Wednesday, 228 cases on Tuesday, 197 cases on Monday, 191 on Sunday, and 264 on Saturday.

Among the new cases, 54 are in the 0-18 age group.

According to the I & PR department, 148 are from quarantine and 104 local contacts.

With these cases being detected from 57,643 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.43 per cent.

However, the district-wise figures shared on the official Twitter handle of the department are the same as that on December 1, totalling 237.

While the affected tally has touched 1049597, Odisha now has 2,434 active cases.
