Odisha Reports 290 New COVID Cases, Khurda Dist Tops With 71

COVID-19 Odisha



Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 290 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Sunday.

Among the new cases reported from 22 districts, 171 are from quarantine and 119 are local contact cases.

Notably, the state had crossed the 200-mark after a gap of almost two months on Thursday after 214 people tested positive for the virus.

According to the I&PR Department, Khurda district has

reported the highest of 71 cases followed by Nuapada (40), Jharsuguda (21) and Cuttack (16).

  13. Kalahandi: 9
  14. Khurda: 71
  15. Koraput: 2
  16. Mayurbhanj: 10
  17. Nuapada: 40
  18. Puri: 6
  19. Rayagada: 9
  20. Sambalpur: 11
  21. Sonepur: 2
  22. Sundargarh: 14
  23. State Pool: 16

With this, Odisha now has 1,650 active cases.

The total positive cases in the state now stands at 340194 and the recovered cases at 336571.
