Bhubaneswar: The COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 400 for the second consecutive day on Tuesday as 327 people, including 44 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state reported 316 new cases the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 191 of the new infections are from quarantine and 136 local contacts. Khurda district registered the highest 177 cases, followed by Cuttack (29) and Mayurbhanj (13). Twelve districts reported nil cases.

16. Puri: 6
17. Sambalpur: 10
18. Sundargarh: 4
Besides, 42 are from the state pool.
Odisha saw a drastic drop in testing as these cases were detected from 49,983 samples, taking the test positivity rate (TPR) to 0.65 per cent. The TPR was 0.49 per cent on Monday when 316 of 63,651 samples were found infected.
The districts were earlier asked to maintain the 70,000 testing range including over 20,000 RT-PCR tests till the end of October. The state conducted around 50,000- 70,000 tests last month with 70,586 samples being collected on October 19.
