Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha dropped below 4000 on Tuesday with 3405 fresh infections, the lowest since April 17, being reported across the state in the last 24 hours.
The test positivity rate (TPR) also dropped to 5.99 per cent despite less testing. It was 6.33 per cent and 7.20 per cent on Monday and Sunday respectively. While 56,807 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, it was 68535 and 62034 during the previous period.
According to the I & PR department, 1942 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 1463 local contacts.
Khurda district reported the highest 500 new cases, followed by Jajpur (391) and Balasore (296).

With this, Odisha now has 51104 active cases with only five districts in Red Zone. As many as 13 districts have turned green amid the declining COVID graph.
