Bhubaneswar: Amid the detection of BM.4.1.1, a sub-lineage of Omicron, Odisha on Thursday recorded a slight decrease in daily COVID cases with 59 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, against 73 cases on Wednesday, and 59 cases on Tuesday.
According to the I & PR Department, 35 cases are from quarantine and 24 cases are from local contacts. Among them, 10 are in the 0-18 age group. The active cases have dropped below 500 and stood at 481.
