Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 6236 on Thursday with 68 more deaths due to the deadly disease being confirmed.
The list includes past deaths for which an audit was done and the cause identified as COVID, the Health Department said.
Among the 68 deceased, 13 are from Khurda district followed by 12 each from Sundargarh and Puri, 11 from Cuttack, 4 from Kendrapada, 3 from Bargarh, 2 each from Balasore and Dhenkanal and one each from Bhadrak, Balangir, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Sambalpur districts.
In terms of total death count, Khurda district reported the highest 1219 deaths followed by Sundargarh (551), Ganjam (450), Puri (384), Cuttack (396), Bargarh (293), Angul (267), Mayurbhanj (221), Kalahandi (201), Balasore (197), Sambalpur (177), Rayagada (159), Jharsuguda (160), Nayagarh (153), Kendrapada (150), Keonjhar (131), Dhenkanal (130), Jagatsinghpur (106), Balangir (106) and Boudh (105).
