Bhubaneswar: After a gap of 3 days, Odisha saw one person succumbing to COVID, taking the toll due to the virus to 9128 on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as an 82-year-old resident of Sundargarh.
Almost after two months, a 78-year-old man succumbed to the disease in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The state had registered its last coronavirus fatality on May 2 when two persons died.
Meanwhile, the active tally in the state has touched 4,825 with 1,043 fresh infections being detected in the last 24 hours. With the almost 30 oper cent rise in daily caseload, the test positivity rate in the state has crossed 5.5%.
