Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported the highest single-day count of 173 new corona positive cases, taking the affected tally to 2,781 on Saturday.
According to Health Department sources, Ganjam reported the highest of 64 new cases, followed by Jajpur (19), Cuttack (13), Mayurbhanj (13), Balangir (11), Balasore (11), Gajapati (10), Khurda (9), Nuapada (8), Nayagarh (7), Bhadrak (4), Kalahandi (2), Jharsuguda (1) and Puri (1).
The state’s previous highest record of 156 cases in a day was reported on June 2
At present, Odisha has 1167 active cases, 1604 recovered and eight have succumbed to the infection.
