Bhubaneswar: After a gap of two days, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha crossed 300 on Wednesday as 387 more people, including 75 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 296 new cases on Tuesday, 276 on Monday and 318 on Sunday.
According to the I & PR department, 223 of the new infections are from quarantine and 164 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest 195 cases followed by 33 in Cuttack. Five districts saw nil cases.

Besides, 43 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 64,302 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.60 per cent. The TPR was 0.55 per cent on Tuesday and 0.46 per cent on Monday.
While the COVID tally has touched at 10,44,428, Odisha now has 2980 active cases.
