Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported new COVID cases in single digit for the third consecutive day on Monday as nine more persons tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen nine cases on Sunday and the lowest of one on Saturday.
Among the new cases, five are from quarantine and four local contract cases, the I & PR department informed. The highest of four cases are from Khurda district.

1. Balangir: 1
2. Cuttack: 1
3. Jajpur: 1
4. Kendrapada: 1
5. Khurda: 4
Besides, 1 from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 19,704 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.04 per cent.
Odisha now has 84 active cases. The number of districts free from coronavirus dropped to 15 with Jajpur reporting one case in the last 24 hours. Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Jagatsinghpur have nil active cases.
